last week....

So today is the last day of classes and im super excited that the semester is almost over and that i have survived my first semester of college. the sad thing is, is that classes may be over but we still have finals :(. my history final is due my Saturday at noon, its 3 essays and a total of 12 pages. then i have a final on Tues and two finals on Wednes. I will be leaving for home on Wednesday after my last test at around 4. im so excited to go back home and see my friends, visit my old high school, bake cookies with my mom, work, and just have the whole month to relax.

last full week of the semester....

So this is our last full week of my first semester in college. i cant believe its almost over. but its not over yet, i still have 2 more test, a few more papers due, and finals. In between now and the last day of classes we have Thanksgiving, im so excited to go home and be with my family and eat lots of good food and go Black Friday shopping!!!! im ready to start the new semester in Jan. but im sad not to have my old classes.

Registration Day!!

So today is Thursday, and it is also registration day for Spring 2011 term. I have to wait till 2:30 to sign up for my classes, whixh makes me really nervous because i just hope i get the classes i want.
the classes i want:

STATS I 245-D T Th 8-9:20AM
SOC 332-A T Th 12:30-1:50PM
PED 143-B Golf MW 2-3:20PM
POL 949-A MW 3:30-4:50PM
HIS 319-A MWF 11-11:50AM
 So there you have it, a total of 16 hours hopefully for next semester....i just cant wait for 2:30PM to roll around so i can register for these classes and be done.

only three more weeks till Thanksgiving......

So I just look, and we only have 3 more full weeks till break. Im so excited, to go home and see all my friends that are on break too. I will also probably visit my old high school, and just have some fun and good food. but before all of that can happen, i have to go through corn, and then two more weeks of work and homework, and reading. next weekend i am going home to surprise my little sister. both of my parents know im coming home that weekend but she will have no clue. I will probably take her out to dinner and lunch, do some shopping and just hangout with her like we did before i came to college. it should be very exciting weekend....can't wait....HAPPY CORN everyone!!!

So this week very busy for me. I have o read a book for my Contemporary policies and politics class. I am reading Shame of the Nation by Jonathan Kozol. Its about restoration of apartheid schooling in america. Its pretty interesting just very long. So after i read 60 pages a day till friday i have to write a min of 5 pages report on the book and about its policy it represents. Of course my policy is Education. So i will start typing hopefully Friday if not Saturday, and the paper is due Wednesday of next week. Lets pray that i finish it and get the rest of my homework done too. I had a History test today, and I recommend: History in the 20th Century with Dr. Smith to anyone interested in taking history next semester, its truly one of my best classes. On Friday, I have a math test. I work Saturday, and am hopefully not going to be to tired aftewards to go to a Halloween party. Sunday is resting and typing day all day long, YAY.

Beach Retreat minus 3 and a half days...

This weekend, Im going with Intervarsity on the 2010 Beach Retreat. Im so excited to spend the weekend with my friends at the beach learning about ourselves and connecting with God. We leave Friday at 4:30 so we will be at the beach a little after dinner. Im so excited to see everyone, and to meet some new people either at NC State or at Meredith.

The new year will bring two little babies to my family.....

So this morning I found that I am getting a little niece in March. Makenzie Grace Brackett. And last month I found out I was getting an nephew in Feb, Joseph Parker Brackett. My stepsister is having the baby girl and my stepbrother and my sister-in-law are having a baby boy. Im so excited to see them, and watch them grow.
